What difference a year makes!

Last night I stayed up until past 2am working on a paper, which isn't new but I thought about my life a year ago, and its completely different. Don't get me wrong, I had a lot to do last year, academically speaking, but this yr seems to be more loaded with work.

OCTOBER OF LAST YR:

Me & Daisy @detour '07. Right before finding sexy boys and dancing with them, getting numbers/contact info from said guys, smoking, trading a pic for a drink from some girls, cruising downtown LA,

VIP Private Parties at hip hotels, being snuck in by the DJ, drinks, meeting famous people, drinks, being drunk, B spilling champagne on my top, dancing, kisses, dancing, fuzzy memory, being so drunk that I smash into famous lead singers & get hugs afterwards, feeling lame but lucky, browsing youtube the next day, just in case.

NOVEMBER OF LAST YR:

Daisy & I, already intoxicated & walking to a party, notice the bottles in hand.
God that night was something, free enterance, drinks galore!, dancing, boys, getting a lap dance(don't ask)

DECEMBER OF LAST YR:

Me and Nat. Before going into Dance for Xmas. Smoking, drinking, getting caught and thrown out before we even entered the damn club, sneeking back in & dancing on tables with Nat(thought that part was just fun).

OCTOBER OF THIS YR:

My nights and weekends now consist of homework, homework, and more fucken homework. Its pathetic and sad, but you know what, last year I made some stupid mistakes. This year, I have tried to focus on the future rather than the now, and it is boring, but it will pay off.

But I do miss the fun and carefree nights sometimes...

Mistaken for Strangers...

Its sad when you are supposed to be the one person closest to someone, but you feel like a stranger instead.
=/

On a better note, due to today's sad events,
I discovered that my new mascara doesn't run or smear.

I hate looking for new makeup because you never know what to expect, but I am now loyal and faithful to this baby.

Me Llamo Yonas

Just got back from the Weezer concert @the Forum...
omg, amazing!
They played all my favs.

The crowd was lame during Tokyo Police Club,
they're performance was pretty bomb,
and the crowd was like w/e.
Daisy and I had fun, and were singing along.
The crowd was feeling "Nature of Experiment"
We liked em all.

haha, how amazing is that pic?

Angels and Airwaves were boring,
the crowd loved them, we didn't.
Tom got chubby, from what I remember him as.
We clapped when their set was finally over.
We had never been so bored during a concert, at that point.
Walter was out of it, though he is really sick, but he doesn't like them either.

And Weezer... ahh Weezer, they started with "My Name is Jonas" and ended the song by saying "Me llamo yonas" hahahaha. Rivers is hilarious.
They brought out the fans to do a performance of "Island in the Sun" and "Beverly Hills" (Hootanany, spelling?? well yeah, thats what its called).
It was really good. Rivers told the crowd to participate.
The boys were to say "Beverly Hills, thats where I wanna be"
and the girls were to say "Gimme Gimme, Gimme Gimme" but in the girliest voice ever.
hahaha. good times!

um side note, BRIAN BELL IS SEXXXXYYYY! ;)

oh haaaayyy!
i'd sit on that couch w/ him anyday ;)

ps. daisy & wally giving me driving tips, amazingly hilarious.
but i did learn.
i need to work on my license, asap!

they lost...

They were doing so good.
I'm so sad.
I know we can still have a chance,
but common, one game more for the putos, i mean phillies and they go to the world series.

Oh, I really hate this guy.

N Y L O N

So I've been reading my Nylon Magazine,
Zooey Deschanel is so pretty.
AND talented.

My favorite picture of the bunch.

The Kings of Leon piece was a good read.
As for the new album, I've only heard a couple of songs.
"Sex on Fire" is the only song I really like.

There is also a piece of Yo Majesty, that as soon as I saw,
"Club Action" came into my head =]

Other one worth mentioning, Daisy Lowe.
She is just pretty, and um, hello, have you seen her father?
That man is gorgeous.
So she has to have good looks.

& the benches clear!

NLCS Game 3.
Phillies were up 2 games to 0.
It was essential that the Dodgers won tonight's game.
and oh haaaaaaaaaaaayyy, we DID!
7-2 Dodgers.
Fuck those who were hitting my boy Russ.
I was mad, and told Daisy I was going to hit them in the face.& she txt me "in that case, they'll have 2 balls in their faces, and not the manly kind maritza, i knw what ur thinking lmao!"hahaha, ahh thee best friend is hilarious.

The 3rd inning was the best.
haha, fuck Victorino!
I love Martin's quote at the end of the game
"it wasn't at his head, it was over his head"
cuz Victorino wouldn't stfu about "dont hit the head, you can hit my ribs, but not the head" thing.
& Manny gets all mad super quick.
temper much? hahaha but it made for good entertainment.

now... lets win 3 more games yea??

imagine this...
Dodgers vs. Red Sox World Series?
omgz omgz omgz.
hahahahahaha.

MY detour review.

i've read other posts that say detour was bad this yr.
but i liked it.
obviously last yr was fucken great!
(bloc party, oh & um JUSTICE! need i say more?)
but this yr was fun too.

Datarock was hilarious.
their performance of "Computer Camp Love" had me laughing for a good while.

And though they took forever to set up & they started their set late, Cut Copy were pretty damn good. i was however disappointed that they didnt play "time stands still". but oh well.

But the highlight of the night:
THE PRESETS!
they were just amazing. again, i was sad that they left out "girl and the sea"
and would have like to have heard "if i know you" and "kitty in the middle" (fav songs) they pretty much rocked.

julian & kim are sweethearts.
got to meet em.
they are really down to earth.

& got their autographs =]
